Happy New Years Eve! What a day to bring a shiny, new blog into the world.
I've come to realize I will never be that white picket fence type of gal. Sure, I'm married to a hard working husband, three kids, cat, dog, house, the whole thing, but we aren't exactly your normal family.
In the average setting we tend to stand out like a sore thumb. Not that we are so strange, just odd enough to get the head-tilt.
and that's okay! We dress different, we laugh when we probably shouldn't, were loud, my kids run around like hoolagins, were immature...
Before you judge, were also strong in our faith, were confident, hard working, driven, respectful, caring, empathetic beyond words, my kids are loving, intelligent, respectful, creative, and have spectacular dreams. I could go on.
Pinpoint: we're happy. I believe our faith keeps us grounded, our dreams keep us flying, and our children keep our innocence alive.
When we get down to the knitty-gritty we rarely have what we "need." I put that in quotes because need is a strong term. I suppose we always have what we need, but it doesn't come easy. My husband and I are very driven people. We make realistic goals and refuse to allow them to go without trying our hardest to accomplish them. This is where the shoestring lifestyle comes into play. You've heard of a shoestring budget; Not only is our budget short and thin, many other aspects are too! And this blog is a little of how we make awesome... Even with a shoestring.
What to expect?
